Large family competition, held by project of culture for youngsters Garā pupa and automobile industry merchandise and accessories wholesale distributors ‘Getz Bros.&Co. (Latvia)’ has concluded. In view of high activity of participants, opportunity to attend a cultural event of their choice and paid journey to this event awarded to ten families.
In December, project of culture for youngsters Garā pupa of association ‘Ascendum’ announced competition, in which large families were invited to select an event from a calendar of culture for youngsters (www.garapupa.lv), to write three of their New Year’s resolutions and offer a short description of their family, thus, winning an opportunity to attend this event along with covered travel expenses. Initially, six families were envisaged to support, however, since unexpectedly many families applied for the competition, the jury of association ‘Ascendum’ and ‘Getz Bros.&Co. (Latvia)’ decided to award ten families altogether.
Winners of competition are Čamāni family from Ilūkste, Jungerfermaņi family from Jelgava, Leoni family from Skrunda rural municipality, Tabori family from Auce, Kalmaņi family from Talsi regional municipality, Ridjonoki family from Jelgava regional municipality, Kreicbergi family from Cēsis, Kristsoni family from Mārupe, Valteri family from Roja region and Jansoni family from Līvāni regional municipality. The winners have chosen to attend concerts and theatre performances in Rīga and Cēsis – ‘Disney marry-go-round’, ‘Wizard of Oz’, ‘Karlson Flies’, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, ‘Potato Opera’, ‘The Nutcracker’, and ‘Red Riding Hood and the Woolf’.
